As well as being completely safe, tooth whitening is the most conservative method to improve the appearance of the teeth and can be done without supervision.The treatment consists in applying a bleaching gel in a transparent bleaching tray, closely adapted to the teeth, in order to oxidize the pigments that have accumulated on the surface of the enamel, thus without damaging tooth structure. As a result of this oxidation, oxygen is eliminated as water, which results in certain occasions in a little sensitivity when removing the trays. However this sensation is only temporary and disappears as the teeth rehydrate with saliva.
